XHTML Friendsというサイトを発見。これは、人間関係を表現するXFNという仕様を利用し、人と人とのつながりを収集・可視化、あるいは検索可能にしてくれるというもの。


Googleがその仕組みを使って検索してくれるそうな。その結果をAPIで取得できる。

Googleは2008年2月1日，Web上のリンクから交友関係を抽出するWebサービスのAPI「Social Graph API」を公開した。ブログやプロフィール・ページのURLなどを入力すると，Googleが収集した，そのサイトを友人としてリンクしている友人のサイトを出力する。

SocialGraphの実用について、うまい例え。

Social Graph API は地方出身者が東京で行なう同窓会のようなものだと思う。

地方から上京してすぐの人が東京で行なわれた同窓会に参加すると、東京で働いていて業界とかでつながりのある同窓生を発見できる。つまり、古いコネを新しい領域で有効活用できる。
